Since the beginning of the Church, adult Baptism is the common practice where the proclamation of the Gospel is still new. The catechumenate (preparation for Baptism) therefore occupies and important place. This initiation into Christian faith and life should dispose the catechumen to receive the gift of God in Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. – CCC 1247
The distinct steps in this preparation are called “The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.” Simply called “RCIA”. This would be for all who have reached the age of reason, desires to enter into this relationship with Christ, and to live this relationship through the sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
Anyone wanting to participate in the catechumenate should contact your parish. See links below to our parish websites.
